The closest airport is the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (ROA). ROA is about 40 min drive from Virginia Tech. Car rentals are available at the airport but the Smart Way bus also offers convenient and reliable commute to and from the airport.
Accomodation
Most of Virginia Tech's guests stay at the Inn at Virginia Tech, which is walking distance to the venue. SETCA participants benefit from a fix rate using this link.
There are also a number of Hilton hotels that are close by, such as the Hilton garden Inn Blacksburg University (about 30min walk to the venue).
The most economical is the Comfort Inn Blacksburg University Area but you would need the city bus to take you to the venue.
